We'd like to urge you not to try and cram too much into your vacation break in the area - after all, part of the pleasure of being in Le Marche is the relaxing atmosphere and tranquil countryside.
But if you looking for suggestions for sights near our house, here are four of our favourite spots for a day trip:
ca. 2 miles/10mins. car ride from Casa Perino
This magic little fortified town boasts ¾ mile of some of the best preserved defensive brick walls in Le Marche. Perched on one of the many hills, with its ramparts, towers, museum & monuments, Corinaldo is an ideal place to visit, take a relaxing stroll or taste one of the superb ice creams.

Boasting one of the Adriatic’s best beaches, the 8-mile long "Velvet Beach", which, thanks to the clean & safe bathing, has been awarded the "European Blue Flag".
On the other side of these golden sands lies the town of Senigallia itself, dominated by the walls of the Rocca fortress, behind which is hidden the old town, with a variety of historical building, excellent restaurants and its Thursday market.

Jesi is perched on a long rocky ridge situated in the heart of the Vendant Hills and is famous for its Verdicchio white wine. The well preserved historical centre is surrounded by the striking pale brown medieval walls, and retains a selection of renaissance and baroque palaces.
Just 20miles SW of Jesi lie the Frasassi caves, some of Europe's largest and Italy's most famous publicly accessible caverns. Discovered in 1971, 11 miles of this cave network are open to the public.

Better known as "The Jewel of Le Marche", Urbino is one of the best preserved and most beautiful hill towns in the Marche, if not in the whole of Italy.
During the second half of 15th century it was one of the most prestigious courts of Europe. Steeped in history, with its "Ducal Palace" said to be Italy's most beautiful Renaissance palace, this city is a must on every itinerary.
